Red Sky runner raises £1080 for Shelter
/Red Sky’s John Crossley ran the Edinburgh Marathon on 28th May 2017 in support of homelessness charity Shelter. The artisan shepherd's hut maker was hoping to raise £500 and says “I believe decent housing should be available to all and hope that the money raised will support the important work that Shelter does so that everyone can have a place to call home”.
According to Shelter, 150 families become homeless in Britain every day. Their mission is simple – to eliminate homelessness in this country. The charity helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through advice, support and legal services. They say, “We’re here so no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own… we campaign to make sure that one day, no one will have to turn to us for help”.
